BIG SKY LAND is a short drama, following Ana and her 12 year old daughter Mac as they travel from the dusty heart of the Australian outback to its jagged coast.
Bruised and almost broken from the violent relationship she’s fleeing, Ana shelters Mac from the harsh realities of the road by creating a joyful intimacy that defies the desolation of their surrounds. But as their situation becomes increasingly perilous, the roles of mother and daughter are thrown into a dangerous state of flux, and both will have to decide if they are stronger together or apart.
BIG SKY LAND is the empowering story of two girls – one older, one younger, but neither yet a woman – as they journey from shame to redemption, and find, in the end, that bravery survives in the most vulnerable of hearts.
